Mission:
The deanship of
Student Affairs is the umbrella under which all student activities
are performed, and through which all the facilities to students are
made available. It was established in February 2006. This deanship
maintains continuous contact and interaction with students more than
any other deanship at the university. It receives students' feedback
about various services at the university and strives to improve such
services.
The
deanship works closely with local community in both governmental and
private sectors by taking part in all related events. In general the
Deanship provides the following

Organize programs designed specially for promoting intercultural
communication

Offer
counseling services to help students adjust academically,
socially, and develop their soft skills.

Offer
financial assistance to the needy students and handling the
ministry of higher education loans and scholarships.

Plan
Activities and offering services to the local and international
students.

Providing
accommodation and health services via the students clinic.
-
Render
services to the physically handicapped students.

Provide
transportation facilities.

Planning and
setting up different athletic and cultural activities.

Deanship
Organizational Structure:
As
the deanship is new; the proposed organizational structure of the
Student Affairs would be:
Cultural and Social Activities Unit
This unit is responsible for
students' clubs, associations, and activities related to fine
arts, music, folk dance, and others. It is also responsible for
issuing the students' newspaper.
Athletic Activities Unit
This unit responsible for helping
students to participate in sports, pursue personal development,
develop students leadership skills.
Student Services Unit
This unit provides the students
with the necessary services on campus or outside the university,
in addition to continually monitoring the foreign students'
transportation, housing and other facilities services.
