(22-11-2006) Celebration of the beginning of the academic year 2006/2007

Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hassan, German-Jordanian University organized the celebration of the beginning of the academic year 2006/2007 with the presence of the Minster of Higher Education Dr. Khaled Toqan, University President, German ambassador in Amman, General secretary of the DAAD, Deans of the university schools and Some of the university students.

(2-11-2006)  The University organized a workshop in cooperation with FESTO.

Under the patronage of Minister of Education Dr. Khalid Toqan, The university organized Workshop on "Jordanian Industry: Competency-based Evaluations and Needs Assessment in Automation and Manufacturing". The theme of the workshop is to present both technical and non-technical findings of a comprehensive research study and survey in cooperation with Festo, in an effort to assist in overcoming deficiencies, enhancing productivity, and building an innovative work force that will collectively lead to sustainable economic growth. Our findings and recommendations may be used to guide the efforts of governments and industries leading to the future success of the industrial sector in Jordan

GJU decides to make a workshop for Secondary school Graduates (Tawjihi) and their parents to inform them about the programs offered by the university in the year 2006/2007.That will be on Saturday 22/7/2006 between 12 am and 7 pm, in the Hussein Cultural Center, third floor, hall No.3.

ورشة تعريفية لطلبة الثانوية العامة

تقيم ا لجامعة الألمانية الأردنية ورشة تعريفية لطلبة الثانوية العامة وذويهم لإطلاعهم على البرامج التي تقدمها الجامعة في العام (2006/2007) ، وذلك يوم السبت الموافق 22/07 ما بين الساعة الثانية عشرة ظهراً والسابعة مساءً في مركز الحسين  الثقافي – الطابق الثالث – القاعة رقم 3 .

 
Dr. Teller is  lecturing for the students of the Logistics Program at the German Jordanian University campus.

It is of great honor to welcome Dr.-Ing. Klaus-Juergen Teller, from Germany to our University as a Logistics Professor, who comes to us from an extensive professional career. Dr. Teller holds a PhD with high Distinction since 1975, as well as an MBA. Dr. Teller currently is the Managing Director of MENA Management Services, and a consultant for the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce. His vast experience includes an Assoc. Professor at the German University in Cairo, Vice President of Quelle of Germany, Vice President of Tengelmann Group, head of central logistics/warehousing, transportation and traffic at BMW, and the director of logistics at Bosch-Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH, Munich, among numerous other posts. Industries and business areas worked for include Logistics, Mail-order business, Retail trade, Groceries, Appliances, Car manufacturing and consulting.

He is currently lecturing twice a week (Saturdays and Thursdays) a total of 12 hours.

(6-5-2006 to 15-5-2006) Participates in the educational exhibitions organized by the tourism promotion commission and the ministry of higher education in Jordan.

Prof. Ziad Al-Kurdi Dean of students affairs and Madame Safa'a Massanat Director of admission and registration represented the German Jordanian University in the educational exhibitions organized by the tourism promotion commission and the ministry of higher education in Jordan. The exhibitions took place in Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain during 6-15/5/2006 aiming at responding to prospective student inquiries and creating awareness among communities of neighboring such an emerging unique industry-oriented university.

(16-4-2006 to 18-4-2006) Participates in the 6th Academia Exhibition in Syria.

Prof. Ziad Al-Kurdi Dean of students affairs, Dr. Laila Yaghi Assistant to the president for students affairs and Madame Safa'a Massanat Director of admission and registration represented the German Jordanian University in this exhibition. The university participated in the exhibition that was held in Damascus during 16-18 of April 2006. Thirty universities from around the world have participated in the exhibit.

(13-4-2006 to 18-4-2006) The University organized a workshop in cooperation with FESTO Didactic.

The University has held a workshop in cooperation with FESTO Didactic on industry survey during April 13-18, 2006. The purpose of the workshop is to have a better understanding of the industry needs and requirements in Jordan and the region, then develop curricula within a rather unique and dynamic educational model that fosters the cooperation between higher education systems and industries in both Germany and Jordan; enhances technology-knowledge transfer; and encourages understanding between cultures and exchange between people; and finally enables education for highly qualified professionals able to work in the global economy.

(24-3-2006) The university celebrates the birth date of king Abdullah ||.

Under the patronage of the president of the university Professor Labib khadra, the deanship of student affairs organized a ceremony to celebrate the birthday of his majesty king Abdullah ||.
