August,1988- January, 2000:  Head of photovoltaic division at renewable energy research center RERC-RSS

November1979 –July, 1983: Electrical engineer in elevators & moving stairs division at M.A.N –Company-Germany


Dr. Ahmad Muhaidat has administrated and implemented more than 15 research & applied projects in the field of renewable energy utilization and application in cooperation with several national (MoP, WAJ, MEMR RSS, NERC, HCST) and international institutions & agencies (GTZ-Germany, NREl-Colorado, USAID, DOE-USA, EU, ZSW-Stuttgart, SIJ-Aachen…etc). The budged for  each of these projects varied from 100,000 to 500,000US$. His research interests are in the areas of
renewable energy systems , (solar energy, wind energy, water desalination systems powered by renewable energy sources, producing elec. Energy from raw material recycling, Biogas, Biomass, and geothermal). Dr. Muhaidat has extensive experience  in renewable energy utilization and applications, design and optimization of renewable energy systems, administrating, planning and  implementing  of renewable energy projects.


Research keywords:


Renewable energy systems design and applications, rational use of energy, energy efficiency storage. Energy resource assessments  and university-industry partnerships.
