Introduction |
|
This program initiative is set to build a strong computer base
that will enable graduates to capitalize on the increasing
career opportunities in the information technology sector,
especially software-related fields. It is intended to deliver a
modern curriculum that will equip graduates with strong
theoretical and practical backgrounds to enable them to stand
out in their performance. The program will adopt and maintain an
effective and dynamic curriculum that can cope with the rapid
shifts and emerging developments in this rather dynamic and
thriving field. The curriculum will continuously and
systematically be reviewed and developed to ensure that it
continues to meet the demands of a fast growing and evolving
technology sector, through establishing a process of on-going
dialogue and collaboration with the industry that closely links
curriculum development to industry needs.

Justification |
|
With the ambitious and bold vision of His Majesty King Abdullah
II, Jordan has endeavored towards building a real IT capacity
with an aim to become an IT hub within the region and to endorse
a new knowledge economy. Accordingly, the whole country
undertook a real revolution starting with the government and
educational systems, to meet the expanding requirements of the
emerging IT industry in Jordan. This has created a demand for IT
professionals that have both theoretical and practical bases in
varieties of software engineering disciplines: software
applications, design patterns, system architectures,
requirements engineering, information systems, etc.
