Introduction |
|
The
translation/interpretation programme offers the students a
well-balanced training in languages, skills in general and
specialized translation/ interpretation, cultural and
intercultural skills, computer skills and the use of modern
translation tools and practical training. New domains for
translators (e.g. localization of websites and software, desktop
publishing) will be included in the teaching. During the first
two years emphasis is placed on intensive language training,
combined with an increasing part of translation/interpretation
-related subjects. One semester in Germany is obligatory. The
language training can be supplemented by attending a language
summer course in Germany. For their last year, students decide
for one of two majors: translation (written) or interpretation
(oral).
