The position of the Dean Assistant for Industrial Relations (DAIR) was established at each of GJU’s schools to reach out to the different study programs and coordinate the industrial cooperation related activities at faculty level.

The DAIR is a member of the Industrial Relations Committee (IRC) and the main contact person for industrial partners and foresees the following tasks
 
  • execute the decisions made by the IRC, which are related to his/her school or the GJU in general.
  • follow up on the implementation on the Schools’ industrial cooperation Action Plan and provide each semester a short report on its achievements
  • the head of the school industrial committee (if available), which shall include the local training officer of each department.
  • supervise the industrial partners’ database of the school in cooperation with OIL
  • coordinate conducting research with the industry, which can be in the forms of:
    • research proposals
    • Graduation projects (GPs)
    • Faculty for Factory projects (FFF)
    • Coordination with Amman Chamber of Industry / Trade
  • liaise and keep record of MOUs with the industry in cooperation with OIL
  • coordinate the Academia – Industry cooperation, which can be in the forms of:
    • Co-teaching of GJU students or Industrial employees
    • Co-training of GJU students or Industrial employees
    • Co-advising of research
  •  coordinate and promote the utilization of the school’s labs by the industry
  • liaise with the following GJU units
    • the Office for Industrial Links (OIL)
    • Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PIE) to promote entrepreneurial education at his/her school  
    • the Consultation and Training Center (CTC): DAIR is considered the coordinator for all activities between his/her school and the Consultation and training center.
