Recently, invited by the European Society of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering (ESCMSE), Greece, Dia Zeidan from the School of Basic Sciences and Humanities was awarded the 2016 Honorary Fellowship Young Scientist Excellence Award in Computational Fluid dynamics and Numerical Analysis by ESCMSE, along with other winners from New Zealand, Germany and USA. The official awards ceremony took a place during the 14th International Conference of Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics which was held on 19-25, September 2016 in Rhodes, Greece. 

The Fellowships honor one senior scientist and five young scientists each year who have accomplished outstanding contribution in the field of Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics. The newly awarded six Fellows have different backgrounds and disciplines. They have been nominated and awarded by their peers to Honorary Fellowships, in view of their distinguished achievements and career-long service to the computational and applied sciences and engineering research groups.

Dia Zeidan joined the German Jordanian University as an assistant professor in February 2014. He has been an associate professor in the School of Basic Sciences and Humanities since February 2016. With a diverse multinational academic experience, he is honored for his distinguished achievements and contributions through his professional development by holding various international fellowships in applied and computational mathematics, editorial board with a variety of well-known international journals and conferences.
