Biography

Ahmad Almuhtady was born in Amman, Jordan. He received the BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, in 2006and the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the well-reputable University of Michigan,Ann Arbor, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, in 2013. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering Department at the German Jordanian University, Amman, Jordan. He served as the head of this department several times between 2014 and 2017, where he significantly contributed in the establishment of the department and its evolution attested by the outcome of the department and its place in GJU.His research interests are focused on renewable energy, sustainability, and thermal sciences in the mechanical engineering side, whereas in the industrial engineering, his research focuses on maintenance-related decision support tools in production system sand optimization.He serves as an active reviewer for a number of journals and conferences in the area of thermal sciences.
