The interests revolve around introducing new analytical methods into pharmaceutical arena while developing new drug delivery systems. Such systems include drug dispersion in polymers, self-emulsifying systems and hot melt extruded systems. In particular the interests focus on exploring targeted safe trans-dermal and topical drug delivery systems.
Research within this area spans from phase behavior engineering approaches (e.g. drug-polymer dispersion, supersaturated systems development) through to interdisciplinary research area of tailoring the physical chemistry of drug formulations for stabilized enhanced drug absorption.
