Dr. Safa Shweihat

Associate Professor (A) in Foundations of Education Dr. Safaa Shweihat, a faculty member at the German Jordanian University and recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Member Appreciation Shield 2016-2015, Advisor for Educational Development to the Prime Minister 2017-2018 during the sabbatical year, American Fellowship in Civic Education 2010, Vice President and Chairman of the Research Projects Committee at the Executive Office of UNESCO in Arne, 2011-2013, Advisor to the Social Sciences Sector at the Higher Council for Science and Technology 2008-2009.  Active member of the Advisory Board of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media 2008-2023, founder and director of the Department of Women's Research Projects at Isra University in Jordan 2003-2005. She has published many researches, studies and scientific articles in national, Arab and international countries, Shweihat is considered one of the prominent leaders in the leadership of civic education, as she has three publications in civic education that have been accredited to teach students in many Jordanian universities since 2006-2023 and are considered the most prominent in the leadership of blended e-learning starting from 2015, where she completed the first course In blended e-learning in terms of content preparation, supervision, implementation and follow-up, its use has spread in the German Jordanian University, the University of Jordan, Isra University, the University of Limenos, and the Hashemite University, Shweihat prepared a project "Code of Civic Educational Conduct in Jordanian Schools". In light of the results of Shweihat doctoral thesis, and in light of the most important recommendations, the subject of "National Education" was considered a university requirement in all Jordanian public and private universities. He chaired the sessions of many scientific events and conferences and joined several courses and courses at the international level - America, Germany, Italy, Turkey and other conferences at the Arab and national levels. She was considered one of the fifty influential women in Jordan by the WPP Foundation "Women are partners in development and development" funded by the Khalil Jubran Chair Office for Values and Peace, University of Maryland, USA. 2017-2022. Member of the Arab Thought Forum and Advisory Board of the Catholic Center for Media and Studies Member of the International Organization for the Empowerment of Arab Women, based in Kuwait, 2021. Currently, a member of the Committee for the Development of the National Education Curriculum for Students of Higher Education Institutions in Jordan, commissioned by the Minister of Higher Education, and on top of my work as a faculty member at the German Jordanian University, I applied for a professorship promotion on 25-10-2022.
