On Sunday 20th of August 2017, The Office for Industrial Links organized a workshop for project planning and internal kick-off in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, within the frame of the DAAD practice partnerships project with Technical University Chemnitz “Saxeed.jet”.

The workshop aims to define the project activities for the upcoming years and provides at first get-together of all partners, TU of Chemnitz, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and Higher School of Communication of Tunis (SUP’COM).

The President of GJU Professor. Manar Fayyad met with the partners and highlighted the most distinguished features at GJU, such as the German year where all students have to leave to Germany for one year for study and get an internship in one of Germany’s industries and businesses.

Prof. Fayyad explained the preparation the students go through in order to succeed in their German year, that begins from language preparation till focused workshops in how to live and work in Germany.

Director of Saxeed Dr. Markus Braun gave a presentation about Saxeed in terms of establishment, the number of supervised startups projects, and established companies, besides its objectives and activities.

Director of Center of Excellence for Innovative Projects Dr. Fahed Awad, and Mr. Malik Hudieb from JUST, Director of Office for Industrial Links, Britta Kähler, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Manager Eng. Jamil AlKhatib at GJU, also provided a presentation to introduce the overall objectives for Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs.
