February 2012, SIC presented a comprehensive self-evaluation report on its status, progress and achievements to the DAAD evaluation committee, which comprised of quality, accreditation, and educational experts. The report mainly outlined SIC achievements and strategic directions on academic excellence, German dimension, research and innovation, physical infrastructure.

December 2011, SIC hosted guest  from Tokyo University exploring research cooperation and exchange of staff. Dr. Kunihairo Asada presented technology development in VLSI design and architecture. Dr. Saad Bushnaq gave a lecture entitled “Explore Your Internal Capabilities”.

November 2011, SIC participated in the 8th German IT Network meeting which was held in Brandenburg, Germany.
