Most of what we do at the computer center is done quietly and in the background and mostly it is unnoticeable by others until something goes wrong and that is when we become at the center of attention. On the other hand, our technical support team members are always in the front lines and interact with the GJU staff and students to resolve their hardware and software issues. We consider this team as our representative to the GJU family and hence we take it very seriously that their services are delivered professionally, on time, and with the highest quality in order to avoid any interruptions to classes and/or work at the GJU.

Our technical support team provides the GJU staff with the following IT services:

  • Installing and configuring basic hardware (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, telephones, faxes, data shows, network switches)
  • Installing and configuring basic software (MS Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet browsers, etc.)
  • Helping our staff and students in using the basic software and hardware
  • Fixing problems in the MyGJU systems
  • Asking for enhancements related to the MyGJU systems
  • Making and managing the E-Mail, MyGJU, ERP tools, E-Learning, archiving system accounts for the GJU staff and students
  • Administering the website and its content
  • Addressing any network related problems
  • Issuing and programming the access doors cards
  • Helping with any problems related to the fingerprint readers
  • Helping in initiating the video conferencing sessions
