    The 2nd Graduation Ceremony for GJU's MBA and MA Students!

    -- Under the patronage of HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, with the attendance of HRH Prince Ra`ad bin Zeid , the GJU president, Prof Dr. Labib Khadra and Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh , the Chairman & CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organzation (TAGorg),along with ministers, ambassadors, academics in addition to high ranking officials, the second graduation ceremony for MBA and MA students of GJU`s Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business was held on Thursday , July 20, 2010 at the Cultural Palace in Amman. 

    Speaking at the opening ceremony, HRH Prince El Hassan stated that the civil society needs knowledge communication channels mainly in the field of education, stressing the significance of establishing cooperation scientific ties that would guarantee effective and credible transfer of information among the different categories of the society.

    “There is an urgent necessity to enhance the Arab contribution in the field of patents registrations on the international level, instead of being limited to the regional one,” Prince El Hassan said.

    “We should encourage and improve the concept of constructive critical thinking in our schools, Arab universities to reach out to productive Arab citizens in a mechanism to develop the Arab societies through the ‘Knowledge for All’ notion,” HRH Prince El Hassan pointed out.

    At the end of his remarks, Prince El Hassan maintained that the future solution for the region is in the gathering of the human capital resources along with the economic financial capitals to empower the poor and safeguard the human capabilities to survive.

    On his part, the GJU President, Prof. Khadra, praised the leading role of GJU and its continued efforts to improve and advance the level of higher education and supply the Jordanian labour market with highly qualified graduates. 

    “A new chapter is being marked in your lives as you are embarking on a journey into a brave new world. You may proceed in confidence, with a world-class education that is unparalleled in the Arab world. You have greatly benefited from a unique educational system and have enriched yourselves with solid educational backgrounds that meet your aspirations and goals. The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business is the product of a partnership between the public sector, German-Jordanian University, and the private sector, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization. The combined resources of both the public and the private sectors have provided you with the balanced dynamic you will find necessary for success in reinforcing your careers, and in contributing to the development of the region."

    Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his admiration for the generous patronage of HRH Prince El Hassan in opening the graduation ceremony. 

    Abu –Ghazaleh also addressed the graduates saying that "your commencement today means so much. For you it is a key milestone on your personal journey to a successful and fulfilling life. What I see is not just the fulfillment of individual dreams, as important as they may be, but a larger tableau of a people, and a culture, that is re-ascending. The Arab world needs you; and thus your education has been developed to serve that need, so I challenge you to dream, to invent, to create, and to dare to be the best you can be, for yourselves, your community and Arab society."


    The class speaker, Mrs. Rula AbdulRahim Awad Milbes, thanked the audience for their attendance and support , and said " We, the students of the MBA class of 2010 at GJU . This unique opportunity has enabled our class to establish the culture and commitment to excellence that is expected of a top business college .Giving us a foundation of business knowledge and experience working with business executives, the GJU experience has transformed my mindset, network and business savvy".


    At the end of the ceremony, HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, and Prof. Khadra presented the certificates to the graduates, while Mr. Talal Abu- Ghazaleh presented three awards for Academic Merit to distinguished students.
