The German Jordanian University (GJU) announced 1600 scholarships to GJU students for both Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs of all majors, including new students.

The President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad, explained that the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is granting 1,600 Covid-19 Scholarships through the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal - Project Office (PO), where each student receives 1,250 EURO (in total 2,000,000 EURO) to support the education during the pandemic.

Fayyad stressed that the cooperation between GJU, DAAD and PO is a strategic one, that aims to enhance and maintain the quality of education in the region during the pandemic, especially for those who were affected financially by the Covid-19.

She also clarified that the 1600 scholarships include current and new students, Jordanians and Internationals, and will be distributed based on the students’ excellence in their study and/or students who have been affected by the pandemic.
