MdB Dr. Daniela De Ridder and MdB Gabriele Groneberg from the German Parliament –German Bundestag  visited German Jordanian University in order to learn more about the university, its programs, and its important role in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries , also to have an overview about the Jordanian Higher Education.

The guests met with the president of GJU Professor Natheer Abu Obeid,  in the presence of Professor. Manar Fayyad , GJU Vice President and  Professor. Dorit Schumann, the GJU Vice President for International Affairs .

Professor Abu Obeid warmly welcomed the guests and briefed them on the university, its programs and educational system, the importance of the German year to students, and the high rate of employability of GJU graduates.

He further defined the GJU as an enlightenment house, and a bridge of cultures to Germany and other countries.  

For their parts , Dr. De Ridder and Groneberg expressed admiration for the  success of GJU , saying that it is a bright model to the other universities in the region.  

On other hand , they  emphasized that they will support the university to help it to  maintain its reputation among other institutions.

During the visit, the guests met with a number of GJU staff and members, also with a group of GJU students, who shared their personal experiences during their stay in Germany.
