The United Kingdom represented by its embassy in Amman celebrated the theme investment in women and girls in science. In this occasion, Assistant Professor from the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), Dr. Esra’a Albarahmieh was selected as an inspirational Jordanian scientist who was the first female awardee of Newton fund on the first call released from the royal academy of engineering/UK.

 

Dr. Esra'a thanked the research team for this achievement. She also thanked the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Legal Consultant Department and the Financial Department for implementing this new project in Jordan that is based on in-kind contribution of scientists and their institutions towards empowering STEM fields in collaboration with the industrial field and UK bodies”.
