On Wednesday 16th of May 2018, as part of the association’s Defensive Cyber Operations Symposium in Baltimore- USA, Dr. Ala’ Fathi Khalifeh from the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT) at  the German Jordanian University (GJU), received the Young AFCEA 40 Under 40 Award.

Dr. Khalifeh has been recognized for his distinguished academic and research profile and for his involvement in implementing a project in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks and its applications for boarders monitoring and security.

The project is funded by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD)​, and is conducted in partnership with The King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB)  as the industrial partner in Jordan

 

The Young AFCEA 40 Under 40 international Award is given to 40 individuals ages 40 and under for their significant contributions in a technical science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field by providing innovation, thought leadership, and support to their client or organizations using information technology (IT).
