On Monday 6th of November 2017, The School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT) at German Jordanian University (GJU), organized a visit for a German delegation from Fulda university where 20 students; 10 German and 10 from GJU will work together on a common task.

The president of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad welcomed the delegation, and gave them an introduction about GJU and the most distinguished attributes the university offer such as the German year for students, flying faculty program, Train the Trainers program for administrators.

Fayyad concluded her speech by wishing the students productive outcomes from their visit to GJU and Jordan.

Vice- President of International Affairs Prof. Dorit Schumann also conducted an introduction to the guests about GJU and the story behind its establishment, where she clarified that it was founded in 2005 by a Royal Decree, in accordance with a memorandum of understanding reached between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany.

She pointed out the importance of exchange programs where people can interact with each other and become friends. Stressing on the effects of such experience in clearing any confusions about different cultures.

During the five- day visit, the students from both sides are supposed to build a game using 3D unity in the area of computer science and/or digital media. On the last day, students will present their results to a jury who will evaluate their performance and distribute prizes and certificates for the best performances.

It’s worth mentioning that Prof. Dr. Paul Grimm and Prof. Dr. Markus Göltenboth from Fulda University are scheduled to present a Colloquiums on two topics: A Computer graphics colloquium and Business Informatics in Germany colloquium at GJU.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Prof. Atef Kharabsheh, the Vice Dean of SEEIT Dr. Raed Mesleh and Dr. Dhiah Abou-Tair.
