Prof. Dr. Schumann, the vice president for International affairs at German Jordanian University (GJU) has participated in the 50th anniversary of the Universities of Applied Sciences (HAW) that took place in the campus of Luebeck technical university on June 15.

The Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany celebrated their 50th anniversary under the patronage of the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the Minister of Education and Research Anja Karliczek, who made the welcoming speech.

Prof. Schumann was representing the presidency of GJU, in addition to Dr. Omar Shubeilat the Director of Consultation and Training Center (CTC) and Prof. Dr. Anne Lequy, the Director of Magdeburg-Stendal University.

There was a total of 100 universities of applied sciences as well as guests from the German government and companies in- and abroad Germany.

A Luebeck Manifesto has been agreed upon the German HAWs, which deals with the future cooperation of the HAWs, including topics of teaching, researches, doctorates, regional anchoring, internationalization, personnel development, and utilization references.

Furthermore, it was a perfect opportunity to meet with some existing partners and sign MoU with the new partners such as TH Wildau and HS Osnabrueck.
