On Wednesday, July 22, 2020, the German Jordanian University (GJU) conducted a workshop on “Digital Teaching Strategy” in the presence of the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad, Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Ralf Rosskopf, Deans, Department’s Directors, and administrative members.

Fayyad welcomed the attendees stressing the importance of the topic, especially with the recent global events that require the University to be more creative and work strategically to adapt to any variables in the future.

The Workshop, which was led by Prof. Rosskopf, aimed to digitalize existing and future physical study programs and make them accessible online to students and professionals.

Rosskopf explained the structure and the outlines of the methods, addressing the objectives and benefits on several levels. He specified the importance of working and brainstorming during the workshop to gather suggestions, ideas, and solutions.

Rosskopf stated that GJU’s performance on teaching online during the lock-down was excellent, and accordingly, the aim now is to adopt more professional approaches.

At the end of the workshop, the participants engaged in a productive discussion covering the most fundamental areas in the process, such as the academic, administrative, technical areas, and the German Year.
