The Omrania | CSBE Student Award for Architectural announced the winners of the 2015 eighth cycle.

The Award jury members (Hani Imam Hussaini, Josep Lluís Mateo, and Nader Tehrani) identified sixteen shortlisted entries and selected from amongst them three first-place winners, three second-place winners, and six honorable mentions.

Afnan Barqawi, an architecture graduate, was awarded the second prize for her submission supervised by Arch. Thaer Qub'a. Afnan expressed her happiness of this award, and said that it was a long hard ride but it was all worth it at the end.

Stitching the pockets | Khan Amman, is her graduation project, the whole project is a way to connect pockets located in Quraish street, downtown physically through a hanging structure as well as connecting them by creating a positive interaction between different markets in the area through the core of the project by that Khan Amman deceases the negative competition but  units the street through a new interesting typology.
