The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU) Prof. Dr Manar Fayyad sponsored a ceremony honoring (15) faculty members and administrative staff at the university who completed the course of the Quality team Audit Leader (ISO 9001,2015 Quality Management system /Lead Auditor, IRCA UK) which held between (9 to 13/9/2018).
The course amid to train and prepare a team of staff to audit the quality management system at the university.
Fayyad praised the distinguished results achieved by the participants in the course. She also stressed the importance of introducing a culture of "quality" to the work environment, which works to raise the level of employees, which will positively affect the students who are the focus of the educational process and the employees themselves.
The course included the familiarity with the specification (ISO :9001 Quality Management Systems,2015), training in auditing, standards and reporting, as well as a practical and theoretical examination and evaluation of the employees participating in the course.
The Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department, Dr. Anas Atieh, and the Deputy Director General of SGS pointed out the importance of this training in the field of quality management and the empowerment of the university staff. While the participants thanked the university administration for allowing them to take this training.
At the end of the ceremony, Fayyad handed over the certificates to the employees who completed the course.
This course is accredited by IRCA, the UK-based Accredited International Auditors Organization. This training is one of a series of training sessions conducted by the Center for Consultation and Training in cooperation with the Department of Quality Assurance at the University.
