On Saturday 14th of April 2018, The Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) has launched the “Road Safety Education Program” in primary schools in partnership with Madrasati Initiative, Royal Automobile Club Jordan and Youth Safety Initiative.
The program is first launched at Alkindi Primary School in Marka- Amman to deliver road safety education to school students from Grade 4 to Grade 10 with the help of a group of great volunteers from different universities in Jordan who are passionate about serving our country.
The program will be applied on 10 schools in different cities and governates in Jordan in the new academic year 2018-2019
The RSCE aims at spreading awareness towards the danger of committing irresponsible and reckless actions inside and outside the vehicles by delivering passengers and pedestrians safety principles. A very important part of this program is to study the routes and paths that the students take to get to schools, evaluate the safety of these routes and suggest interventions to improve the level of safety on dangerous spots.
