On Monday, February 24, 2020, the Library, at the German Jordanian University (GJU), organized Film Week Festival for Jordanian productions in cooperation with the Royal Jordanian Film Commission. The activity aims at educating the audience on the progress of local cinema and the latest technics used in these movies.

Three movies were selected to be screened within the festival; "Theeb" directed by Naji Abu Nowar, "Blessed Benefit", directed by Mahmoud Al-Massad and "Ismail" a short film, directed by Ismail Shamout. It is worth to mention that these films were recognized and rewarded locally and internationally.

Director of the Library, Dr. Aziz Madi, and Director of Programs at the Commission, Shadi Al-Nimri, had discussions with the audience about presented films. They also had the opportunity to discuss the film "Blessed Benefit" with its director Mahmoud Al-Massad.

Attendees learned about the Commission's roles and activities in Jordan. They were invited to visit the Film Library at the Commission's headquarters in Amman, which includes more than 2,000 films.
