Under the patronage of the German Jordanian university president, Prof. Dr. Manar Fayyad, EDU-SYRIA / EDU-JORDAN Programme handed out 23 laptops to its Master’s students from Syrian refugees and underprivileged Jordanians at the German Jordanian University.

This awarding is part of the EDU-SYRIA / EDU-JORDAN programme initiative to support its students during online learning by providing access to their lessons. The initiative will hand out 379 Lenovo laptops, valued at Euro 150,000, to the programmes’ students at Jordan University of Science and technology, Yarmouk University, Mutah University, Zarqa University and Luminus Technical University College.

Prof Fayyad welcomed the students and encouraged them to challenges the circumstances the Covid-19 epidemic created and excel in their studies. She also expressed pride in this initiative that aims to ensure a proper educational process. The EU in Jordan representative stressed the EU’s endeavor to provide means of support for the education of Syrian refugees and the Jordanian host community.
