The German Jordanian University and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday 24 of May 2017.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, on behalf of the GJU, and Mr. Henner Kirchner Head of GIZ Project JOSY on behalf of GIZ.

The memo seeks to strengthen collaboration between researchers, professors, and other members of the academic community within both sides. Also to collaborate in the field of research-based expertise in refugee situations. Furthermore, efforts will be directed towards establishing various forms of scholarly collaboration, such as the organization of colloquia, seminars, conferences, and cooperative research projects, including the development of relevant academic material.

Both sides showed up willingness to provide all necessary support to the future project and joint work.

The signing was held in the attendance of Prof. Manar Fayyad, GJU Vic President, Prof. Dorit Schumman , the GJU Vice President of International Affairs.
