The Vision Rehabilitation Center (VRC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated on Friday 20/9/2019 in a free medical day called “Saned” held by Physio Team in Al Hussein Park.
This team is a group of physical therapists that work to provide medical and therapeutic services for persons who need them, with the collaboration of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and orthopedics.
The VRC team presented the centers' services for persons with low vision; they assessed the patients' vision and provided optical aids with training on them.
Through the presentation, the lecturer in the Center, Yosur Qutishat, presented the different types of optical magnifiers for near and distance. Besides, a brief description of the training courses offered by the VRC to the professionals and workers interested in the vision rehabilitation was presented.
At the end of the event, the VRC distributed its flyers for the therapists and participants so they can contact the Center for both the clinical and academic services.
