On Thursday 25th of January 2018, The Consultation and Training Center (CTC), at the German Jordanian University (GJU), graduated the students of the fourth batch of the Arabic Language and Culture (ALC) Program, who joined the program from 11 different German Universities.

The President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad expressed her happiness to be among the graduates and witness their achievement, encouraging the students to reflect their experience in Jordan and GJU to friends and family when they go back to Germany.

Fayyad stressed the importance of human interactions in views convergence to dismiss misconceptions about other cultures so as people can live together in harmony and peace.

Two German graduates gave a speech in Standard Arabic (Fusha) expressing their happiness to complete the program, demonstrating their experience in Jordan such as popular customs and traditions, food, field trips, and the friendships they established during their stay in Jordan.

The program was initiated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and established by GJU in 2014. The central objective of the ALC program is to organize intensive programs during the autumn terms focusing on Arabic language and the Arab culture.

It is worth to mention that GJU has recently rehabilitated its teachers in the program by offering them a 30-hour training course to raise their competence in teaching the language to non-native speakers according to international standards.

At the end of the ceremony, Fayyad handed out certificates to graduates and teachers.
