GJU organized a lecture on “People’s Guarantees Before Trial” with the cooperation of Justice Center for Legal Aid, on Monday 27th of March 2017.

Assistant to President for Campus Affairs Abdul hakeem Arabiyyat assured on the importance of this lecture that aims to educate students and employees about their rights and obligations that are provided by laws and regulations in Jordan. He considered it as a part of the learning and professional process.

From her side, the presenter of the center Dr. Hana’a Alhour clarified the services of the center in providing legal consultations and legal representations, indiscriminately and free of charge to all poor and vulnerable people living in Jordan. She also added that the center was established in 2008 as a response to the several problems that result from public Ignorance of their legal right which will affect the Judiciary procedures.

Muaath Almomany presented the guarantees of justice before and after the trial, the country role in protecting the rights and freedoms of their citizens, the right of getting the information, human rights such as health care, age and gender, among many other rights that is secured by Jordanian constitution and International agreements.

At the end of the meeting, a general discussion was conducted answering the questions of the attendees.
