The Library of the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a musical evening for the Jordanian “Bait Alrowad" band, in which a number of the great musicians and pioneers of Jordanian art gathered in the presence of a number of academic and administrative members and students.

The evening, which was under the patronage of the President of GJU, Prof. Manar Fayyad, comes within the framework of the university library project in its new building equipped with halls and a theater to organize such events in order to spread and preserve the Jordanian and Arab musical heritage through record it for future generations.

The band presented a number of performances that showed the heritage and the old beautiful songs, which made the attendance enjoyed their time.

On the sidelines of the evening, a number of academic and administrative members, governmental and private cultural institutions and a number of publishers where honored in the library activities for the year 2019 and were given certificates of appreciation.

“Bait Alrowad” was founded in 2008 and adopted by the Greater Amman Municipality to include a group of singers and composers who are over the age of 50 years that aims to mix between Jordanian and Arab art in an effort to build bridges of connection between old and modern songs.
