Amman- 13 July 2021 

The School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) - Industrial Engineering Department at the German Jordanian University (GJU) conducted the first discussions for three theses of the new master program Science in Engineering Management.

The thesis entitled “Application of data-driven predictive maintenance for a hospital HVAC system using machine learning algorithms” was submitted by student Marah Al-Tal, supervised by Prof. Raid Al-Aomar and Co-Advisor: Prof. Jochen Abel (Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences). The Examining Committee consisted of Dr. Shouib Al-Qudah, Dr. Samir Al-Dahidi, and Dr. Saleem Ramadan.

The second thesis, entitled “Prediction and Measurement of Damage to Architectural Facades of Architectural Heritages through Features Characterization Using Convolutional Neural Networks and Image Processing in Jordan.” was submitted by Student Lujain Al Arabiat and supervised by Dr. Murad Samhouri. The Examining Committee consisted of Prof. Mahmoud Barghash, Dr. Mahmoud Al Banna, and Dr. Saleem Ramadan.

Moreover, student Ahmed AbuSharar, submitted the thesis entitled “Application of DoE for Optimization and Development of Fluphenazine Delivery System Using Nanoparticles Technology.” supervised by Dr. Saleem Ramadan and Co-supervisor: Dr. Samer Al-Ali. The Examining Committee consisted of Prof. Safwan Altarazi, Dr. Mahmoud Banna, and Mahmoud Barghash.
