The School of Natural Resources Engineering Management at the German-Jordanian University (GJU) organized a seminar on “Climate Resilient and Water Management”. In the presence of the Dean of the School Dr.  Munjed M. AL-Sharif, Vice Dean Dr. Arwa Abdelhay and Head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department Dr. Mohammad Alsmadi.

The seminar, which was attended by a student delegation from Germany, was aimed at explaining the methods of water management in Jordan according to climate change. It included a presentation by some students at the university to review the water situation in Jordan and the challenges that this sector faces from climate change and population growth as well as the refugee crisis.

The seminar also included the achievements of Jordan in the field of water especially the water shortage over the past years.

AL-Sharif explained that there are projects that have been postponed by the official entities at the moment, such as the "Dead Sea and Red Sea Canal”, because there is more than one joint venture in the project.

At the end of the seminar, students discussed some solutions for proper water management.

A delegation of students from GJU visited the University of Koblenz in Germany to see the reality of the water sector in Germany, methods of water management and utilization.
