Amman- 15 May 2018

On May 13th and 14th 2018, GJU had the pleasure of hosting a student delegation from the Birzeit University in Ramallah. The 11 students of German as a Foreign Language were received by GJU’s Vice President of International Affairs Prof. Dr. Dorit Schumann and the Dean of the School of Applied Humanities and Languages (SAHL) Prof. Dr. Christine Huth-Hildebrandt.

During their stay, the delegation had the opportunity to experience GJU’s graduate program in German and met with fellow students for workshops and discussions on teaching German.

The program was introduced by DAAD lecturer Dr. Gerhard Jaiser who pointed out the further positive impact on the excellent relations between GJU and the Birzeit University, especially due to the presence of Dr. Ulrike Mitter, DAAD Lecturer in Ramallah.

Apart from academic discussions, the students explored GJU’s campus and the city of Amman. The delegation left for Ramallah with great impressions of GJU’s Master program in German as a Foreign Language and the university as an institution for pursuing a graduate degree.
