As part of the German IT Week, a research workshop took place on November 5th to intensify the scientific exchange between the German Jordan University (GJU) and the University of Fulda of Applied Sciences and with other German universities from the GJU support network. In addition to impressive presentations of the research areas of those involved, an online poster exhibition was held to enable talks and discussions in an innovative format despite the restrictions caused by the corona pandemic.
In particular, the use of Virtual Reality (VR) showed impressively that there are good approaches to establish new contacts and to exchange ideas directly, similar to the time before Corona, even if the usual conversations during the coffee break were not possible. As part of the German IT Week, the establishment of teaching tandems is also supported, which enables the integration of intercultural experiences within specialist courses. The German IT Week is supported by DAAD.
