On 11th of November 2017, as part of the capacity building in the Vocational Training Center for undergraduate university students and teachers in Jordan (VTC project), three trainers from the Instituto Superior de Paços de Brandão (ISPAB) from Portugal participated in the capacity building by training 20 students and instructors at German Jordanian University (GJU). The same trainers will do a similar training at the other five partner Jordanian universities.

The training program was for four hours and covered three training sessions, Customer essential elements of a customer management approach, Sales and marketing skills: strategy and tactics, History, heritage, and development: the touristic activity

The training included several activities. The students and instructors’ evaluation for the training was very satisfactory. Further, the trainees received an attendance certificate.

Finally, it worth mentioning that The VTC project is a three years’ project started in Oct. 2015 and funded by the European Union through an Erasmus+ Project. A VTC lab was established in Apr. 2016 at GJU.

The VTC lab has a complementary role for other entities at GJU in providing the GJU students and instructors with co-curricular skills and courses that are required by the job market. The coordinator of the VTC project at GJU is the head of Industrial Relations Committee Dr. Ziad Abuelrub.
