The Office for Industrial Links organized a workshop on 3D printing for GJU’s students on Wednesday 15/03/2017.

Mr. Faisal AlNemri from Mixed Dimension Company presented an introduction to 3D Printing, its uses and types, he spoke about the many applications of this booming technology in different sectors like Medical Applications, Food, Film Industry, Automotive Industry, Education, and Fashion Industry.  

He also explained to the student the advantages of 3D printing in terms of its capability of creating complex designs, customization of each item separately and speed.

Program Innovation & Entrepreneurship (PIE) Manager Jamil Alkahatib, said that this workshop comes in conjunction with the program “Innovation Space” that will be open officially on the 4th of April 2017 at the GJU main campus.

This space will give the students the chance to work on developing their projects, prototypes, ideas that will lead them eventually to be entrepreneurs and start their own businesses. The Innovation Space will include many important devices for prototyping such as 3D Printer.
