Brief Project Description of GJU
The German project office, responsible for facilitation of GJU cooperation with German institutions, is affiliated with the Magdeburg- Stendal University of Applied Sciences, in the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt of Central Germany. The German project team has already managed to attract some (70) dedicated German universities to its cooperating consortium.
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) under the "German Study Programmes Abroad" programme.
GJU is intended to serve as a unique university of applied education, experiential learning and professional excellence oriented towards market and industry needs. It will continue to have a remarkable impact on the region as a whole by capitalizing on best practices and expertise in higher education in both countries. GJU has an objective to prepare highly skilled graduates with the relevant knowledge for the industry, and contributing positively to the socio-economic development, be able to survive today's fiercely competitive and technologically oriented world, and boost industrial and economic standing in Jordan and the region.
