Word of the Director

Welcome to the Center of Information Systems and Technology, which has developed by sheer willingness into one of the foremost departments at the German Jordanian University. As the Director of (CIST), I endeavor to reach excellence in providing state-of-the-art information and communication systems to students, faculty, and staff.

CIST has been a towering presence in my life. It has achieved great strides in developing systems and services that promote both electronic learning (E-Learning) as well as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). 

Despite the challenges that lie before our department, we aspire to live up to the utmost expectations and facilitate the learning and administrative processes at GJU. CIST team work very closely with all the administrative departments (e.g., Human Resources department, Finance department, Purchases and Supplies department) at GJU in order to deploy new ERP systems that facilitate the flow of information and collaboration between the different departments, aid in decision-making, and improve productivity.

I have a high confidence in my team and believe strongly in their potentials to provide the following high quality services: wired and wireless high-speed Internet, E-mail, telephony, hardware and software support, data shows in all classrooms, E-Learning and ERP applications, help desk and asset management system, access doors system, time and attendance system, IP cameras and surveillance system, video conferencing, as well as the student computer labs (soft areas).
