About the School

Vision

Our vision is to develop a faculty with an outstanding reputation in the fields of language teaching and language learning as well as for translation in Jordan.
In the coming years we also intend to establish a Center of Excellence for German, English and Arabic as technical languages

Mission:

The study programs are designed to enable graduates to work with various institutions and companies and to assume a role as translators in various fields of interest on a global scale.

Graduates from courses in German as a Foreign Language will be able to teach German at universities, schools, various private and public institutions, private language schools, etc.

Highly linked to these skill sets is the preparation of students to take on the role of the  so-called “(inter)cultural mediators”.

Therefore, program graduates will not only be able to reflect and identify aims and methods of their specific fields of expertise, but will also be able to reflect upon and bridge across foreign cultures with that of their own when it comes to diversified cultural perspectives and experiences.

Program graduates will have developed a high level of intercultural competence where they will be able to analyze and assess (intercultural) problems, especially if such problems can be compared and contrasted between Germany, being part of the “Western world”, and the Arab world, at large.
