Mission:

The study programs are supposed to enable students to work in various institutions and companies and to act as translators in various fields of interest on a global scale.

G-graduates from the courses in German as a Foreign Language will be able to teach German language in universities, schools, various private and public institutions, private language schools, etc.

Highly linked to these above-mentioned skills is the preparation of students to act as so-called “(inter)cultural mediators”.

Therefore, program graduates will not only be able to reflect and identify aims and methods of their specific study fields, but will also be enabled to reflect upon and bridge between their own and foreign cultures with regard to an approach to different cultural perspectives and experiences.

Program graduates will have developed a high level of intercultural competence and they will be able to analyze and value (intercultural) problems, especially if such problems can be compared and contrasted between Germany as a part of the so-called “Western world” on the one hand and Arab countries on the other.
