The German Jordanian University held the 2nd Evening of Excellence under the patronage of Prof. Labib Khadra, President of GJU on Monday 18 June 2012 at GJU permanent campus, Madaba. The ceremony aimed at honoring GJU top graduates, top students, distinguished faculty members, administrative staff and GJU Industry Partners.  
 Prof. Khadra expressed his satisfaction with what has been achieved so far and assured the vital role of GJU partners in supporting the University. From her side, HE Edelgard Bulmahn, Member of the Deutscher Bundestag – German Parliament and former Federal Minister of Education and Research in Germany, emphasized that GJU is a good example of successful in achieving.
In their speeches, HE Dr. Ralph Tarraph, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Jordan, and HE Prof. Wajih Oweis, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan , highlighted the impact of GJU as a Joint project in strengthen the ties between Jordan and Germany. In addition, benefit from the German experience to develop and improve the Jordanian education sector as well as to create deeper bonds with the Jordanian industrial sector.  
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Khadra, HE Edelgard Bulmahn, and HE Prof. Wajih Oweis distributed certificates and souvenirs among honored students, graduates, staff and industrial partners, Note worth mentioning that during the ceremony, musical pieces were performed by GJU musical band.
