Amman- April 6, 2017
Amman- German & English for Business Communication (GEBC) students from the School of Applied Humanities and Languages (SAHL) visit Abdali Investment & Development PSC on April 6th, 2017.
Abdali is the new downtown of Amman. It is the first area that incorporates residential, commercial, hospitality, medical, and retail outlets in one luxurious and fast pace area. With an area of 2 million sqm, Abdali is the largest urbanization plan in Amman that aims to be the capital’s investment hub which will attract investors, businesses and tourist to Jordan’s city center.
The main objective of this visit was to inquire whether GEBC as a major serves the market at the business and corporate communication levels and how it ensures that its graduates find jobs as soon as they graduate from SAHL, GJU. Upon the arrival of GEBC students to the main offices of Abdali headquarters, the students were given a brief overview on the landscape urbanization plan of Abdali by the sales and marketing manager, Mr. Fahmi Saifi.
Thereafter, the students were invited to a short presentation on the future plans for Abdali and the ongoing projects that are being executed. Mr. Saifi briefly explained the corporate communication strategy Abdali is following in marketing this vibrant hub. According to Mr. Saifi, marketing for them is a perception and how people view Abdali is what drives this investment and development PSC. “Communication for Abdali according to its public relations strategy is based on a generic reach that targets investors and decision makers in terms of show and do rather than just tell,” said Mr. Saifi.
Abdali’s main target as Mr. Saifi kept repeating is promoting family culture and marketing themselves as the number one center for modern investments in the Levant region and Iraq by offering a modern coral shell for modern businesses.
GEBC students thanked Mr. Saifi for his informative presentation and asked him questions regarding future internship opportunities and paid temporary jobs which they could get through Abdali’s themed events that are conducted all year long.
