أ. د. نبيل أيوب
من مواليد 1949، متزوج ولديه ثلاثة أطفال، حصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الفيزياء النووية النظرية من الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت عام 1978، وهو أستاذ الفيزياء منذ فبراير 1992، في قسم الفيزياء / جامعة اليرموك، لديه اهتمامات بحثية في الفيزياء النووية، والمغناطيسية الجسيمات الدقيقة على حد سواء النظرية والتجريبية، الموصلية الفائقة، وتطبيقات حساب التفاضل والتكامل الكسري.
قد شارك في تأليف كتابين على المستوى الجامعي وأكثر من خمسة وستين منشورا في المجلات الدولية، وقد نال جائزة فولبرايت لجامعة كاليفورنيا سان دييغو-كاليفورنيا 1989-1990 كما نال جائزة فولبرايت لجامعة تكساس في أوستن 1996، وهو عضو مشارك في المركز الدولي للفيزياء النظرية، ترييستي، إيطاليا، 1991-1996 ونال في عام 2009 جائزة سكوبس للمنشورات البحثية المتميزة. كما أنه عضو لجنة قضاة ISEF في الأردن وعضو لجنة الإشراف على الكتب المدرسية على مستوى المدارس الثانوية في الأردن التي شكلها وزير التربية والتعليم من 1992-2002 وهو عضو في مجلس التعليم العالي الأردني ويعد المجلس أعلى مجلس إدارة في الأردن تم تعيينه بموجب مرسوم ملكي من قبل جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني، أشرف على أطروحات أكثر من أربعين طالب دراسات عليا في الفيزياء لآخر 30 سنوات كما حصل على منحتان بحثيتان من مؤسسة الأبحاث الألمانية المرموقة، من 1994-1998 بمبلغ 108670 مارك ألماني (مائة وثمانية آلاف وستمائة وسبعون مارك ألماني)، للعمل على السوائل المغناطيسية.

2011-2013:عميد عمادة البحث العلمي والدراسات العليا- الجامعة الألمانية الأردنية حيث قمت بصياغة تعليمات البحث العلمي والدراسات العليا باللغتين الأنكليزية والعربية. انعكست مواد التعليمات بصياغة 36 نموذج تنفيذي لها. خلال هذه الفترة انشأت برنامج ماجستير في الطاقة المتجددة من خلال برنامج تمبوس للأتحاد الأوروبي..

3) عضو مشارك (لمدة ست سنوات) في المركز الدولي للفيزياء النظرية والتطبيقية (تريستا أيطاليا) في الفترة من 1 كانون الثاني 1991 والى 31 كانون الأول 1996. العضوية تعطى فقط للمتميزين في حقول المعرفة الفيزيائية والرياضية.
4) منحة الداد في صيف 1991 امضيتها في البحث في مركز كالرسروة للأبحاث النووية - ألمانيا
5) منحة الأمم المتحدة للمشاركة في الورشة البحثية في المركز النووي الأرجنتيني في باريلوتشي لدراسة خصائص المواد مفرطة الموصلية. في شهر كانون الثاني-1992- لمدة 25 يوم.
6) جائزة سكوبس للتميز في البحث العلمي- نيسان 2009.
7) منحة من المكتب الدولي للأمم المتحدة لشؤون الفضاء الخارجية بمعية ثلاث طلاب من الجامعة الألمانية الأردنية أمضيناها في جامعة يريمن – ألمانيا-2014
8) دعوة من المكتب الدولي للأمم المتحدة لشؤون الفضاء الخارجية للمشاركة في ورشة للتطبيقات في الفضاء الخارجي في مجال انعدام الجاذبية في شهر 3 2016- في سان خوزية- كوستاريكا في أميركا الجنوبية.
