The German Jordanian University and the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish mutual collaboration in the academic field, and to exchange programs for academic and administrative staff as well as students.
Prof. Andreas Zehetner, the Vice President for International Affairs at UASUA on behalf of UASUA, and the GJU President Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, on behalf of GJU, signed the MoU, which aimed at updating joint master programs with a double degree offered by both universities.
This MoU will allow the research, academic and administrative staff of both institutions to spend periods of up to three months, in order to broaden their range of experience in research, teaching and professional training.
Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid emphasized that GJU is always seeking to build partnerships with European educational institutions along with the German institutions and companies to help create new opportunities for students.
For his part, Prof. Zehetner, praised this inter – university cooperation with GJU , that confirms the original visions of both universities as meeting places between different cultures, and as institutions open to dialogue and comparison between different ethnic and social identities.
The event was attended by the Vice President for International Affairs, Prof Anton Mangstl, Dr. Dorothea Jecht, Director of the International Office as well as representatives from UASUA.
