Amman- 23March, 2014

On Monday the 23th of March 2014, a group of GJU students visited the field of “Al Karama” Battle as part of their national education curriculum, and as part of the national celebrations of this great memory.

 

The visit aimed at learning more details about the nature of the battle and the sacrifices of the Jordanian Arab Army who gave up their lives to defend and protect the pure soil of Jordan and the dignity of the nation.

 

During the visit, the students were briefed by one of the officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces about the details of the battle and the achievements of the Arab Army.

 

The students then took a tour into the site and were introduced to some of the military tanks, vehicles and artillery pieces which were used in the battle. 

 

At the end of the visit, Mr. Adel Hawatmeh and his students read Al-Fateha on the souls of Al-Karma’s Martyrs and put wreaths of flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

 

The students showed much respect and reverence to the accomplishments and the great victory of Jordan emphasizing the visit has amplified their loyalty to His Majesty the King and belonging to their homeland.
