The ultra-runner, David Christof visited GJU today in order to encourage students to participate in the eleven Marathons that he arranged from the 15thof March to the 25th of March, 2014.
The main purpose of these marathons is to raise money for the educational needs of Jordanian and Syrian children such as school improvements, supplies and equipment.
David Christof met some of the GJU students, and talked to them about the marathons in particular and the campaign in general. He assured them that the best thing about these marathons is that the money will go directly to the schools over at the camps.
Even though all of David’s previous runs were about raising awareness about safe water, he also felt that he should contribute to the educational needs of Jordanian and Syrians near the camps.
The marathon will be held in collaboration with Helping Refugees in Jordan, who are coordinating with Mercy Corps to manage the fundraising.
