The GJUMUN club organized an introductory meeting for both general and board committee members on Tuesday 18 March, 2014. The meeting aimed at launching the preparations for the GJUMUN conference for the year 2014, as well as representing the MUN.
The GJUMUN is a great opportunity for students to improve their spoken language, improve teamwork skills and help them to become skillful in sharing their ideas while and teach them negotiation and persuasion tactics.
Ms. Sara Ghanma - Secretary General of the GJUMUN and Vice- President of the GJUMUN Club explained the main concept of the MUN, saying that the “Model United Nations” is a simulation of the United Nations which is based on finding and agreeing on logical solutions to worldwide problems through democratic debate and discussion.
The MUN promotes students worldwide taking part in healthy and democratic discussion to promote a more peaceful yet intelligent method of solution inception.
A noteworthy mention the MUN conference is going to be held at the end of May, 2014, when the participants can research and formulatepoliticalpositions based on actual countries.
