The Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Jordan, Mr. Nie Guo’an, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) on Tuesday 11th March, 2014.
The visit aimed at viewing GJU achievements, Schools, programs and experiences with a view to establishing an Arabian Chinese University in Jordan along the lines of GJU. The visit also focused on discussing cooperation prospects between GJU and Chinese universities
During the meeting, Prof. Abu Obeid welcomed the guest and expressed his interest in future cooperation between both parties. He also highlighted the university’s Schools, programs, and the exchange year in Germany.
Furthermore, Prof. Abu Obeid outlined that GJU is an applied university which has been designed along the lines of the German applied universitiesin addition to its unique and various disciplines.
For his part, Mr. Nie Guo’an was mesmerized by the highly advanced scientific level of the university. He further wished for both countries to take landmark steps and embrace joint educational experiences to build similar educational systems and establish an Arabian Chinese University.
The visit concluded with a discussion panel with the President about the GJU system and its partnership with educational and industrial parties in Germany and in the Kingdom.
