Prof. Natheer Abu. Obeid , the President of GJU held talks with the president of the University of Nebraska, Dr. Harvey Perlman, during his visit to GJU on Thursday 27 Feb, 2014.
The visit aimed at discussing possible ways to expand the cooperation between the two universities and to develop a strategic partnership in the areas of water environment and energy.
Prof. Abu.Obeid wholeheartedly welcomed Dr. Perlman, and gave an elaborate introduction about GJU; its schools, programs, and the exchange year in Germany. He also emphasized that GJU is a role model of an applied university, and has been designed along the lines of German applied universities.
He further pointed out that GJU has unique programs and disciplines of Natural Resources Engineering , like Water and Environment Engineering and Energy Engineering which aim to develop well-educated graduates with practical skills, attributes and knowledge that will enable them to practice effectively as professional engineers.
For his part , Dr. Perlman , briefed an introduction about the university of Nebraska , its mission and future vision in building mutual cooperation with GJU and other universities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Vice President of GJU and Prof. Anton Mangstl, the Vice President for International Affairs
